Stocks COSMOS’s mission is to maintain and manage the national oil stocks so that they are available at all times; in case of a shortage in energy supply, the minister may order the release of part or the whole of the quantities kept. The minimum oil stocks are kept by COSMOS are prescribed in a ministerial Order. For 2010 these were 607.770 metric tons, as follows: Category I: (Petrol) 94.590 MT During 2010 COSMOS met its obligation for maintaining oil stocks as follows:
